Exploring SharePoint 2013 permissions from a Site Collection Administrators or Site Owners perspective
Brett Lonsdale
Session Abstract

Have you been tasked with being a Site Owner or a Site Collection Administrator? Your users may be worried about who can see content that they are creating, who can modify their documents or delete their content. Can the content by seen in the outside world? Why is Fred still a contributor when he left the company two years ago? These are questions that you will need to be able to answer.

This session will help you to understand SharePoint permissions. How to get the most out of the reports, how to assign permissions directly and by using groups. When to use Active Directory groups or SharePoint Groups, when to inherit or break permission inheritance, and how to create custom permission levels.

Take home the knowledge and understanding you need to effectively manage Microsoft SharePoint permissions throughout Sites, Lists and Libraries.
